Peter Obi used to visit my house at Nsukka – Sultan of Sokoto

The campaign train of the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi arrived Sokoto State on Wednesday in continuation of the nationwide presidential campaign.

Obi and his running mate, Dr Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed in company of party stalwarts paid a courtesy visit to His Eminence Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto.

Obi while addressing the crowd at the palace, regretted the huge number of poor youths and out of school children in northern Nigeria. He assured the Sultan his government will start training and educating the out of school children if elected as president.

Responding, the Sultan said he has known Peter Obi for over 40 years.

He said:

“I have known Peter for a long time, he used to come to my house when I was in Nsukka. We are like brothers and God doesn’t make mistakes. I was supposed to go to Dutse but I said I must wait and see you all.”
