The Acting National Vice Chairman (South-west) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Hon. Rahman Owokoniran, has urged Nigerians not to despair but keep hope alive as Christians marks Christmas around the world amid concerns of political instability and rising poverty.
Owokoniran further said that the season calls for deep sober reflections as the country struggles to come to terms with the current financial crisis in the country.
“I wish to felicitate with the Christian faithfuls on this special festive season as Christians celebrates the birth of Prince of Peace. The timeless values of compassion, love, tolerance and forgiveness that the birth of Jesus Christ so profoundly teaches should be held dearly not only by Christians but people of all faiths.
“We pray to God Almighty that the blessings and lessons of Christmas will spread all through our Country and move us to be better people.
“Let us keep hope alive.
“Merry Christmas and God bless you all.”
