PDP Primaries: Fayose’s son, aide, others win Reps tickets in Ekiti

Some Peoples Democratic Party House of Representatives candidates in Ekiti State have emerged at the primary held across the federal constituencies on Sunday.

They included Joju Fayose, son of former Governor Ayodele Fayose, who won the ticket for Ekiti Central Federal Constituency one, and the ex-governor’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, who emerged as the PDP candidate for Ekiti Central Federal Constituency two.

While Joju Fayose scored 69 votes to defeat Deji Adeosun, who polled 9 votes; Olayinka garnered 54 votes to beat his opponent, Victor, who scored 45 votes.

Also, a former governorship aspirant, Yinka Akerele, won the party ticket for Ekiti North Federal Constituency one, unopposed.

For Ekiti North Federal Constituency two, Babatunde Ajayi polled 63 votes to clinch the ticket, defeating Funmi Ogun, who had 33 votes.
