A major support group working for the victory of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa at the November 16 Ondo Guber election, the Community Engagement for Lucky Aiyedatiwa (CELA) kick-started its door-to-door movement across rural communities in Ondo state, starting with Idanre local government.

The movement according to its convener, Iwakun Adeolu intends to engage dwellers of the rural communities and preach the Lucky Aiyedatiwa continuity agenda.

According to Iwakun, “We erected this initiative to ensure the rural communities are not left behind in the governance of the state. We are here to ask the community what they lack and would want the government to do for them.

“Doing this, we are elated to receive good remarks about the Lucky Aiyedatiwa led administration from our people. The Governor is a good listener and also understands the assignment of leading a progressive state like ours. We urge our people to also support the continuity of the Governor Aiyedatiwa-led government: it is the best thing to do.

The community leaders expressed satisfaction in the performance of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa within the short period of time and commended the beautiful initiative of prioritizing the interest of the rural communities.

The leader of Ipoba community, Chief Olofintuyi Rufus said this is the first time a Governorship aspirant will be interested in visiting them to know the challenges facing the people of the community.

He said, “What we used to is public campaigns where we have no chance to present our needs and challenges. We appreciate the Governor for what he is doing. He has our support and we plead with him to come to help us heal our pains.”

A traditional ruler, Oba Omosebi Albert, the Alajowa of Ajowa pleaded that the engagement with rural communities be sustained to ensure these communities also enjoy the wind of good governance blowing in the state.

The engagement is to run across the 18 local government areas of the state, according to the Director of Media, Seun Aruwajoye.
