The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi has joined the Edo State governorship candidate of the party, Olumide Akpata, in Benin City for their campaign for the Edo 2024 governorship race.
They visited the Palace of the Oba of Benin, where the Oba warmly received them.
The visit, marked by discussions on equity and justice in leadership, underscored their campaign for effective governance and accountability.
He says “Equity, fairness, and justice are when the people get the best person to lead… that it is an injustice to reward a party that has failed you”
The visit to Benin and the Oba of Benin’s Palace marked the commencement of their campaign efforts in Edo State.
Supporters gathered to hear their message of change and renewed commitment to serving the people’s interests.
Campaign activities are now in full swing as Peter Obi and Olumide Akpata continue to engage with communities across Edo State, rallying support for their vision of inclusive and effective leadership.
