NYSC to pay corps members N77,000 from February

Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps has said that members of the corps would from February 2025 will start to receive N77,000 as their allowance.

Yushua made this known while speaking with the 2024 Batch ‘C’ stream ll corps members in Katsina State.

The Federal Government according to the NYSC DG has included the increment in the 2025 national budget and it will take effect as soon as it is passed.

He said, “This month (January) has already ended, but once the budget is passed, by next month (February), you will start receiving N77,000 instead of the usual N33,000.”

Ahmed also emphasised the government’s commitment to corps members’ welfare, and security and urged them to serve the nation diligently.

He said that corps members would not be posted to areas where they would be insecure.

He said, “We will not send our corps members to any areas with security challenges. Wherever we send them, they should be assured that the place is safe and secure for them to serve.”
