After what seemed like an endless crisis, the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, Imo State Chapter gets it right with an open, transparent and credible elections into their State Executive Council.

The immediate past Executives from the National to Imo State in particular tried to subvert the will of the people and the substantive 2017 constitution to provide themselves with a second tenure but the norm is a single term of 4 years.

While the tenure of the State Chairmen all over the Federation ended in August, 2023, the National Executive tenure ended in November, 2023.

The Board Of Trustees BOT which is the highest decision making body of the Association has decried the monstrous moves of the past Exco to scuttle the peace enjoyed by the members amidst several suspicions of mismanagement of the Association’s businesses.

There are legal actions seeking to perpetually restrain the last leaders from parading themselves as representing the Association in all strata.

Imo State NAPPS has been enmeshed in series of cold feelings since 2021 when the State Chairman was suspended due to the vote of no confidence passed on his administration and the attendant outcomes of panels set to look into the matter.

We believe that the new administration will spread their milk of human kindness to reconcile every interests, correct the perceived and confirmed deviations as well as forge progressive fronts with effect from January 2024.
