A statement by the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and Secretary of the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee, Hajo Bello, stressed that the publication of the shortlisted applicants’ names does not indicate their success in the process.

He urged the general public to comment on the integrity, reputation, and competence of the shortlisted applicants.

Bello further stated that the final list of successful SAN applicants will be announced by the LPPC after a rigorous screening process.
Bello said the screening includes an assessment of their professional competence, integrity, and contributions to the legal profession
