Miyetti Allah praises President Tinubu for establishing Ministry of Livestock Development

The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Fulani Socio-Cultural Association (MAKHFA). has commended President Bola Tinubu for creating the Ministry of Livestock Development, describing it as a “visionary leadership” move aimed at addressing the longstanding challenges in the agricultural sector.

In a statement signed by the National Secretary of MAKHFA, Engineer Saleh Alhassan applauded the President’s commitment to resolving the persistent conflicts between farmers and herders, which have hindered economic progress and threatened national unity.

The association praised the inauguration of the Renewed Hope Livestock Reform Implementation Committee, saying it demonstrates the government’s dedication to finding a comprehensive and sustainable solution to the issue.

MAKHFA described the move as a “bold and necessary step” towards achieving long-term peace, strengthening food security, and unlocking the economic potential of the livestock sector. The association also expressed confidence in the ability of Hajiya Hadiza Bala Usman, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Policy Implementation, to spearhead the initiative successfully.

The association commended the National Assembly for their support and urged all stakeholders to work together to ensure the success of the Renewed Hope Livestock Reform. MAKHFA reiterated its commitment to supporting the government’s efforts towards promoting justice, prosperity, and inclusivity for all Nigerians.

This development is seen as a significant step towards addressing the lingering issues between farmers and herders, and MAKHFA endorsement is a testament to the government’s commitment to finding a lasting solution.

MAKHFA also expressed appreciation for the contributions of several key stakeholders in the successful implementation of the Renewed Hope Livestock Reform.

The association commended the Vice President Kashim Shettima, National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, for providing strategic vision and support, acknowledging their dedication to ensuring the security and stability of the nation.

thanked Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the APC National Chairman and former Governor of Kano State, Alh. Atiku Bagudu, Minister for Budget and Economic Planning, and other stakeholders for their immense contributions to the reform.

Furthermore, the association praised Prof. Attahiru Jega, the former INEC Chairman, who will serve as Deputy Chairman of the Renewed Hope Livestock Reform Implementation Committee, for his pivotal role in providing strategic vision and support.

MAKHFA commendation highlights the collaborative effort and commitment of these stakeholders in addressing the longstanding challenges in the livestock sector, promoting peace, food security, and economic growth in Nigeria.
