Singer Yemi Alade has continued to tackle the Lagos state government over the demolition of houses in the Mende area of the state.

Over the weekend, the state Ministry of Environment and Water Resources demolished the houses on the grounds that the houses were built on the drainage system of the state. On Sunday, Yemi shared a video pointing out that the different demolitions are ruining the real estate value of Lagos and Nigeria.

In a series of tweets posted online this morning May 5, Yemi said the state government is giving Nigerians reasons not to invest in Lagos real estate. In her post, she called on the state government to at least start refunding affected legal buyers the monies paid to the state government when purchasing their land.
