The Gombe State Police Command has arrested one Jonathan James for k!lling his 65-year-old aunt, Ramatu Musa.
The spokesperson of the command, ASP Buhari Abdullahi, who disclosed this in a statement on Friday, October 25, 2024, said the suspect st@bbed his aunt to d3ath with a knife in the Badagaza Quarters area of the state.
“On 21/10/2024 at about 0215hrs distress call has it that on the same date at about 0135hrs the above mentioned suspect had fatally stabbed his Aunty one Ramatu Musa ‘F’ 65yrs old of the same address with a sharp knife as a result she sustained serious injury on her chest,” the statement read.
“On receiving the information, patrol team from Pantami division led by ASP Girema Yahaya rushed to the scene and evacuated the victim to specialist hospital Gombe for medical attention where she was examine and certified dead on arrival by a medical doctor.
“The scene of crime was visited and the suspect arrested. A knife was recovered as exhibit, the suspect will soon be charged to court for prosecution.”
