It’s been 4 weeks or there about since various petitions against the badly conducted Lagos state PDP electoral congress overseen by Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa state, and no official response has been heard from the office of the party’s national chairman; Dr Iyorchia Ayu.
This is sad to say as it’s proving to all who cares about the success of the party, that the national chairman of the our great party doesn’t mean well for the growth and success of the party especially as the election year is near.
How can it be said that a congress that was fraught with manipulations, blatant disregard for due process and burdened with lack of transparency and open rigging is been subtly and stylishly upheld by the national chairman despite the baggage’s of misconduct that trails it?
How can it be said that 3 weeks after several petitions from well meaning party faithfuls and stakeholders with clear evidence of misconducts that overwhelmed the elections, no actions has been made by the chairman to nullify this broad day light robbery, but bent on upholding that despicable result even to the detriment of the party in the state.
This was a congress election that defies all morals, logic and the revelations from it isn’t palatable for public consumption as it is capable of de-marketing image in the minds of concerned Nigerians looking up to the party as the only hope of dislodging the ruling party come 2023.
This is uncalled for and we implore every well meaning party faithfuls up to the NWC to prevail on the chairman to order so that justice and voice of reason will prevail else he by his autocratic tendency plunge the party in the state into disarray and disunity thus creating setbacks towards 2023 general elections.
We hope the chairman humbly adhere to the voice of reason, nullify the election and call for a new election that will usher in a truly people elected executives that will lead the party to glory in the state.
Signed
Concerned Lagos PDP stakeholders
