Labour Party condemns the murder of member, Moreen Elisha and kidnap of her children in Kaduna

The Labour Party (LP) in Kaduna State has condemned the gruesome murder of Mrs. Moreen Elisha, the Ungwan mutua, Labour Party Polling unit Chairperson in Zakan Ward, Kaura Local government of Kaduna State.

Her two daughters were also abducted by the unknown gunmen.

The Chairman of Labour Party in Kaduna State, Hon. Auwal Tafoki expressed dismay at the attack on members in a press release sent to our correspondent and called on security operatives to ensure that the perpetrators of the dastard act are arrested and brought to book.

“On behalf of the State Working Committee and the entire members and supporters of our great party, we condemned the gruesome murder of our Ungwan mutua, Labour Party Polling unit Chairperson, Mrs. Moreen Elisha in Zakan Ward, Kaura Local government of Kaduna State, by suspected kidnappers.

We are calling on the security agencies to up their acts by ensuring that her two kidnapped children are rescued and the kidnappers apprehended.

We are disappointed with the security agencies for not arresting those that have previously killed our Kaura Local government women leader, Mrs. Victoria Chimtex a year ago.

We also expresses our deepest sympathies with her family, friends and relatives on this sudden, painful and profound loss.

We want to let the family know that our thoughts are with them.

We’re wishing you courage and peace during this time of mourning.
