A Shari’a court sitting at Rijiyar Lemu, Kano, Kano State, has ordered the remand of a woman, Hafsa Ibrahim, for hitting her husband, Jamilu Muhammad, with a local pressing iron and cutting 90 sets of his clothes to pieces because she suspected him of chatting with other women on his phone.

The prosecutor, Usman Shuaibu Dala, told the court that Hafsa injured her husband by hitting him in the head with a local iron and used a scissors to cut 90 sets of his clothes to pieces and seized his handset worth N80,000.
