President Muhammadu Buhari has swore in Justice Olukayode Ariwoola as the acting Chief Justice Of Nigeria.

The swearing-in ceremony was held hours after Justice Tanko Muhammad’s resignation as CJN  went public.

The ceremony was held at the Council Chambers, Aso Villa and attended by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Justices of the Supreme Court and other senior government officials.

Ariwoola swore to be faithful and bear true allegiance to the Federal Government of Nigeria, as well as defend the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
