#June12Protest: Police attack and shoot protesters in Abuja

The scheduled June 12 protest that is ongoing at the Gudu axis of Abuja organized by RevolutionNow has been disrupted by the police.

The protest that commenced by 8.30 am was going on peacefully and smoothly with mostly young people bearing banners and placards before police men arrived at the scene and started firing tear gas at the protesters.

As gunshots were fired into the air, protesters scampered for safety but later regrouped to continue marching and chanting “Buhari must go”.

Protests has also commenced in other parts of the country to express displeasure against bad governance on Democracy Day!
