The convener of Indigenous People of Nigeria, Mazi Dickson Iroegbu has called out President Muhammadu Buhari and APC leader, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu for traveling to the United Kingdom to access quality health care system while resident doctors in Nigeria are on strike.
In a voice note sent to our correspondent, Iroegbu said the viral photographs of the two leaders at the London residence of Tinubu smacks of insensitivity to the medical needs of less privileged Nigerians and failed leadership. While welcoming Buhari back to Nigeria after spending 18 days in the United Kindom, the IPN convener appealed to Buhari to tackle the insecurity problems facing Nigeria to stop the killing of innocent citizens in several parts of the country.
He said:
“As Indigenous People Nigeria we are wondering what both Buhari and Tinubu are doing in London smiling for the camera after receiving the best medical attention. Mr President while you are away, Nigerians are being slaughtered in Jos, Zamfara, Katsina and other parts of Nigeria. We pray you Mr President to jettison parochial political interest and put Nigeria first. We welcome you back to the country.”
