Hate Speech: Video of First Lady Oluremi Tinubu threatening Igbos trends online

Sequel to the call by a Canada based woman, Amaka Patience Sunnberger to poison all Yoruba and Binis on Tiktok, Nigerians have roundly condemned what they described as hate speech by the Nigerian woman who is of Igbo origin.

Ohaneze Ndigbo, the apex Igbo socio=cultural organization and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has also openly cpndemned Miss Amaka’s call.

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) petitioned Honourable Patrick Brown, Mayor of Brampton, Canada, regarding Amaka Patience Sunnberger’s poisoning threat.

According to the petition, Sunnberger has issued threats to poison and kill members of the Yoruba and Edo ethnic communities.

In the letter dated August 28, 2024 addressed to the mayor, the Chairman of NiDCOM, Dr Abike Dabiri-Erewa, disclosed that Mrs Amaka Patience Sonnberger, is a disability support worker in Brampton.

Amaka confidently declared that nothing would happen to her because she is a Canadian citizen.

Nigerians on Twitter have also called out Mrs Oluremi Tinubu, wife of the President and trended a video where she openly threatened the Igbos.
