Accessibility means bridging the gap of communication network between the leader and the led. While Tolerance is used to refer to the ability to accept other people’s views, beliefs, opinions and understanding.
No doubt, these concepts are indispensable I democracy and in politics. In fact they form the bedrock of good leadership and fortunately for Ndi Enugu, Our Workaholic and Peace loving Governor Rt. Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Gburu Gburu) encapsulates these attributes. The idea that power intoxicates or that power intoxicates absolutely is not in the dictionary of our beloved God-fearing Governor, Gburus.
He is humble to the core, a servant leader who has demystified the highly exalted office of the Governor; so much that, people who never dreamt of shaking hands with a sitting Governor have done that with him, he accommodates everyone irrespective who you are. He gives everyone attention, he is truly, a leader par excellence.
Under Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi everyone matters, all these were practically impossible in the past administrations. Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is the only Governor in history that made himself available to Ndi Enugu at any given time, through this means, Ndi Enugu have unfettered access to him to interact with their Governor and share their challenges. Gburus has also able to feel the pulse of the people he governs and formulates policies that impact on their lives daily.
Nwa David Ugwuanyi has also changed our style of politics from do or die politics to a game that is played with spirit of sportsmanship, where losers embrace winners and winners accommodates losers. What a peaceful Governor!
Enugu State under Rt. Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, you can hardly distinguish between political opponents because it is no longer played with bows and arrows, but with all sense of decorum and the belief that all power comes from God Almighty courtesy of our God-fearing Governor Rt. Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is the first and only Governor that periodically calls for Town Hall meetings, where he interacts with his people of all social strata one on one basis, through this process, the barrier between the leader and the led is broken and gap narrowed. Ndi Enugu always air their views and grievances to the Number 1 citizen he addresses it instantly.
No doubt, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is not just a servant Leader but a mentor whose lifestyle and leadership qualities should be emulated by everybody in position of authority.
