Governor Nwifuru Unveils EBOCAB: A Bold Step Towards Transforming Ebonyi’s Transport Secto
Ebonyi State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Nwifuru, has officially launched EBOCAB, a digitally powered transport system designed to revolutionize commuting within and beyond the state. The new initiative aims to provide safer, more comfortable, and more efficient transport options for residents and visitors alike.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony on Monday, Governor Nwifuru expressed profound satisfaction with the development, describing it as a strategic step toward economic growth, job creation, and enhanced public welfare. He noted that EBOCAB would serve key infrastructures in the state, including the Ebonyi International Airport, the International Market, and all local government areas.
“This service will bring comfort and security to our people,” the Governor said. “It is and has always been about meeting the needs of Ebonyi people. Our Government will continue to support programs aligned with the People’s Charter of Needs.”
He also congratulated the EBOCAB management team, urging them to remain focused and innovative in maximizing the system’s potential to uplift lives and grow the state’s economy.
EBOCAB is expected to create employment opportunities and improve security through its tech-enabled tracking and monitoring features, marking a significant milestone in Ebonyi’s journey toward a smarter, more inclusive transport infrastructure.
