Governor Akeredolu tests positive for COVID-19

The governor of Ondo State, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu has tested positive to coronavirus. This is contained in a message he personally released via a video at the state capital, Akure. Below is excerpts from his speech.

”I had malaria a few days ago and was treated. I did get over it and as at the time we had our party NEC and my colleagues called on me, I spoke with one of them who felt that malaria shouldn’t be treated lightly but that I should go ahead and have a test for COVID19.

The result come out today June 30 and I tested positive. 

I am asymptommatic. I am not feeling sick nor feeling hot in anyway but my doctors have decided I should take the normal treatment and self isolate. I believe that supervised home management will be ideal for me for now and so from now I will be isolated and go on with the supervised home management” he said
