The Forum of South-East Academic Doctors (FOSAD) has felicitated Senator John Azuta Mbata on his election as the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo. His track record of service and commitment to the principles of equity, justice, and development makes him the right leader at this critical time,” the statement read.

FOSAD highlighted key areas where it believes Senator Mbata’s leadership will be impactful, including fostering unity among Igbos, advocating for the region’s political and economic interests, and addressing the challenges of insecurity and underdevelopment in the South-East.

The forum also pledged its support for the new President-General, noting that the academic community stands ready to collaborate with Ohanaeze Ndigbo in the pursuit of policies and initiatives that will uplift the Igbo nation.

“Under Senator Mbata’s leadership, we hope to see increased collaboration between Ohanaeze Ndigbo and intellectuals in the region, leveraging research and innovation to address societal challenges and advance the socio-economic progress of Ndigbo,” Professor Okonkwo added.
