Former CAF President Issa Hayatou dies at 77

Former President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Issa Hayatou is dead. 

Hayatou served as the president of CAF for 29 years from 1988 until 2017.

He passed away on Thursday at the age of 77.

Hayatou was also the one-time acting President of the world’s football governing body, the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).
