FG to spend N6.9 billion on cars for First Lady’s office, presidential villa

The Federal Government has budgeted over N6.9 billion on procurement of vehicles for the State House, with the Office of the First Lady receiving N1.5 billion.

This is contained in the N2.17 trillion Supplementary Budget president Bola Ahmed Tinubu sent to the National Assembly for approval, PremiumTimes reports.

A breakdown of the budget shows that N2.9 billion will be used to purchase Sport Utility Vehicles (SUV) for the Presidential Villa, and another N2.9 billion will be used to replace operational vehicles for the presidency.

Also, the government is planning to spend N28 billion on the State House and N12.5 billion on the Presidential air Fleet.
