The government of Ekiti state has suspended the appointment of hundred recently recruited teachers.
Chairman of the Teaching Service Commission, Mr. Babatunde Abegunde in a statement released on Thursday March 18, said the decision was taken due to economic challenges posed by COVID-19 pandemic.
Adegunde who further revealed that the appointment was suspended to prevent a situation where teachers would not get salary, added that Governor Kayode Fayemi has directed the refund of money paid by the successful candidates to purchase teaching service manual, service record and job cards among others.
