Creative Industry Group will support members contesting for political office – Fexi Duke

The Creative Industry Group (CIG) has thrown it’s weight behind two of it’s members vying for political positions in the 2023 election under APC and Labour Party for House of Representatives.

Amb. Felix Duke, President of CIG said that it was a good development in the right direction to have active members of the executive board coming out for the seats.

Duke disclosed that Elaine Obukome Ibru-Mukoro in APC, Director Event/Project of CIG and Kenneth Gbandi, Chairman Adversory Board (CIG Europe) are from Delta state.

“This is a good and big one for us having members who understands what CIG is all about coming out for the seats, it speaks well because they will be able to help drive the structure which we have been Campaigning for.

” Some countries understand the power/structure of entertainment and and are making a lot of wealth through the industry, like California is through entertainment they make their money.

” Nigeria films, fashion, music, arts and others are recognised and making waves worldwide, so CIG represents face of these entertainment beats for practitioners and upcoming youths in the industry.

” We therefore need people, just like our Ibru and Gbandi to spread the gospel of the group with their position when they occupy the seats in the House of Representatives, come 2023.” He added.

According to him, Ibru-Mukoro holds a degree in International Relations and Economics (Bsc) from the prestigious Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, USA.

On Humanitarian Works, Amb. Duke said that Ibru-Mukoro is a Board member Distinguished Ladies Initiative, Board Member(Nigeria) Professionals For Humanity.

He added that she is the Founder/Chairman
Obuks Ibru Initiative and Obuks Women Organisation as well as chapter member of Rotary Club
Agbarah-Otor Delta state and honorary member of Lions Club.

She is also the Chairman Monarch Environmental Services, Philanthropist, Nigerian Peace Ambassador, Multiple award winner & Preferred Aspirant 2023
Federal House Of Representatives Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Constituency, Delta state.

The CIG boss added that Hon. Gbandi who holds critical credentials in Peace Research and Conflict Mediation served in Hamburg Senate’s Foreigners Advisory Council as Chairman of Anti-Discrimination Committee for three years.

Also Director of the German Federal Government African-German Information Center for social business and recognition of migrants’ certificates, CEO African – European Media Networks in Germany & German speaking regions of Europe.

Duke added that Gbandi is Member of the German-African Communication Concept Committee for German Foreign Affairs, Africa division dealing with migration of Africans to Europe, a project supported by German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Gbandi, a two terms Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora of Continental Europe (NIDO Europe) is the Deputy National Chairman (Diaspora Engagement) African Democratic Congress (ADC) &
Senatorial Aspirant for Delta North.
