Coronavirus: Kaigama donates funds for building cathedral to the poor and needy

The Archbishop of Abuja Catholic diocese, Ignatius Kaigama has channelled all the resources meant for the building of cathedral to the poor and vulnerable because of the coronavirus pandemic.

He made the announcement during the celebration of Palm Sunday holy mass at Our Lady Queen of Nigeria Pro Cathedral Garki Abuja.

According to him, the empty pews that should be occupied by the faithful has proved that the church is not a building. The cathedral is meant for human beings who are alive. He called on all men and women of goodwill to do whatever they can to help fellow Nigerians at his time. The Archbishop prayed God as the numero uno to heal the world from the pandemic.

The mass was attended by few priests, reverend sisters and choristers in compliance to the stay at home order and social distancing.
