A statement by the Director, Information and Public Relations, Festus Akande on Fridat said that the CJN will deliver a state-of-the Judiciary address, with a view to highlighting the performance of the Supreme Court in particular, and the Nigerian Judiciary in general, in the 2023/2024 legal year.

This follows an audio leak suggesting that Bobrisky, who was sentenced to six months in prison, was granted unauthorised access to an apartment outside the custodial centre.

The news was confirmed in a statement by Ini Ememobong, the state commissioner for information, in the early hours of Friday.

The resolution of the House came after the adoption of a motion of urgent public importance sponsored by the member representing Ikot Ekpene/Essien Udim/Obot Akara Federal Constituency, Akwa Ibom State, Patrick Umoh.

Accompanying Okpebholo were key figures from the All Progressives Congress (APC), including the national chairman Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, along with several governors elected under the party’s banner.

Speaking in an interview on Channels TV, Akpata claimed that some Labour Party supporters who had pledged to vote for him during the campaign either stayed home on the election day or sold their votes to the highest bidder.

The 16-count charge, filed before a Federal High Court in Abuja, names Bello as the sole defendant, along with two Kogi state government officials, Abdulsalami Hudu and Umar Oricha.

In a statement on Wednesday, a spokesperson for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Caroline Embu, said the increment was in line with the enactment of the National Minimum Wage (Amendment) Act 2024.

The employment-to-population ratio in urban areas was 69.5%, while rural areas recorded a higher ratio of 78.9%. This represents a slight drop from the 71.1% and 80.7% recorded in Q3 2023 for urban and rural areas, respectively.

In the audio, Bobrisky told an unidentified person in a phone conversation that he paid some unnamed officials of the commission the sum of N15,000,000( Fifteen Million Naira only) for them to drop money laundering charges against him
