Ngozi thanked the Opus Prize jury for believing in her mission to alleviate suffering among marginalized groups.

“In accordance with the university’s founding act, an Acting Vice-Chancellor will be appointed, and a new Governing Council for the university will be constituted as soon as possible to ensure proper governance and adherence to the law.”

The NEC observe the reckless and utter disregards to due process by the Governing Council Chairman of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, leading to the selection of Vice Chancellor, despite the Government’s clear and unequivocal directive halting the process and nullifying any appointment made based on that process.

The university that he claimed to be a professor there has denied it, and we have all seen the latest.

It was gathered that the student’s scripts were sent to an external lecturer for review.

While cautioning staff and the faculty against violating the university’s rules, Ndoma-Egba assured that the university would not ignore any misconduct. 

Efforts by the Governing Council, led by Ambassador Greg Ozumba Mbadiwe, to address the issue have been futile as the university community remains divided.

The workshop participants appreciated Prof. Ogechi E. Anyanwu, the founder of PACAF, for organizing the first teachers’ workshop.
