Blackout hits Abuja over faulty 33kV feeder

Parts of Abuja are experiencing a power outage due to a technical fault on its 33-kilovolt feeder in the Central Area of the Nation’s capital. 

Abuja Electricity Distribution Company disclosed this in a notice through its official X account.

The firm said areas affected are Dakibiyu, Kado Estate, part of Life Camp, Efab estate Life Camp and environs.

AEDC noted that its technical team is working to restore the electricity supply to the affected areas. 

“The Management of Abuja Electricity Distribution Plc, AEDC, wishes to notify its esteemed customers of a technical fault on a 33kV feeder at Central Area, Abuja. 

“We regret any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience during this time”, the state partly reads. 

The electricity company also said it has restored power supply to “Kapwa Village, Kapwa Ruga, Legislative Institute, Piwoyi Village, and Back of Dunamis in Abuja”.
