Another Labour Party member, Honorable Ajang Alfred Iliya, representing the Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency, defects to the APC. 

His letter of defection was read on the floor of the house on Thursday morning December 12, by the Speaker of the House, Tajudeen Abbas.

‘’This decision is due to the crisis of leadership in the Labour party, and though deeply personal, it is one I believe is in the best interest of my constituents and the broader objectives of National development.”iliya’s letter read

He was received by the former governor of Plateau State, Senator Simon Lalong, in the green chamber.
