Angry mob set man ablaze for stealing electric cables in Benue

Irate youths in Agirgba community of Vandiekya local government area of Benue State on Saturday, March 15, burnt to death a man who they claimed was caught with stolen electric cables and hospital equipment.

Residents of the community alleged that the youths apprehended the deceased with electric cables used in wiring a clinic and other hospital equipment and on sighting them someone on motorcycle started the bike and fled while the man was caught and set ablaze.

“The clinic was built by our son to assist his community in accessing affordable healthcare following the absence of a health facility in the area to stop the challenge of sick persons trekking long distances before accessing medication.”

The command is yet to comment on this development.
