AFCON: Super Eagles win 4-2 on penalties, advance to final

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have qualified for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nation final in Ivory Coast.

Nigeria defeated South Africa on penalties in the semi-final clash at the Stade de la Bouake on Wednesday, February 7, to advance to the final stage.

The match was decided on penalties after 120 minutes of football ended 1-1 with both nations scoring in the second half.

The Super Eagles scored four of their penalties while Bafana Bafana missed two of theirs.

Super Eagles goalie, Stanley Nwabali was the hero of the night as he saved two penalty kicks in the shootout.
