The Admiralty University of Nigeria, founded by the Nigerian Navy and Hellenic Education Nigeria, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following Academic and Non-Academic positions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
The minimum qualifications and experiences specified by the National Universities Commission for all academic positions apply, e.g. PhD and 3years of teaching for Lecturer II. IT Skills are required for all positions at the University. Those without these minimum requirements need not apply.

B. NON-ACADEMIC POSITIONS.

  1. DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS
    The Director of Admissions will be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the Admissions Office, and for handling all student admission issues in the University. He/she must have good leadership and management skills, high level of personal integrity, and be able to achieve the goals of the University admission processes, with particular regard to publicity as well as the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board’s Central Admission Processing System.

QUALIFICATION:
(i) A good honours degree of at least Second Class Honours (Lower Division) from a recognised University with at least 10 years relevant experience, preferably in a University or other related Institution of higher learning.
(ii) Evidence of previous performance in relation to processing of admission in a tertiary institution.
(iii) Possession of proven records of leadership/administrative qualities.
(iv) Attainment of the position of Deputy Director or its equivalent in a University or other tertiary institutions.
(v) Physical and mental fitness.

  1. SECRETARIES

Qualified Secretaries, experienced in University procedures and document management, are required for immediate employment.

QUALIFICATIONs AND SKILLS:
(i) Minimum of HND/BSC in Secretarial Administration/Studies.
(ii) Minimum of five years experience in a University environment.
(iii) Very good Computer and IT skills, preferably with relevant certificates.
(iv) Good oral and written communication skills.
(v) Accuracy and good attention to details.
(vi) Ability to work calmly under pressure.
(vii) Good organizational and time management skills.
(viii) High level of discretion and initiative.

METHOD OF APPLICATION FOR ALL POSITIONS:

Candidates for Professorial/Senior Lecturer positions and Director of Admissions must also include a one-page (A4) Vision Statement in relationto their role in the University. DURATION OF APPOINTMENT:
The Director of Admissions shall hold office for a term of three (3) years, subject to renewal on such terms and conditions as may be specified in the letter of appointment. All other positions are tenurable.
