Operatives of the Yobe State Police Command have arrested a 33-year-old suspect for allegedly molesting a nine-month-old girl in Potiskum town, Yobe State.

The Command disclosed this on Friday, June 13, in a statement released by its Public Relations Officer, SP Dungus Abdulkarim.

“The victim and the suspect have been taken to a medical facility for examination,” the statement said.

The Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Ado, condemned the act and assured the public that a thorough investigation will be conducted and justice will be served.

He urged parents to be vigilant about their children’s safety and warned potential perpetrators that stricter penalties await them.
