A couple were seen making out on a packed beach in full view of families with young kids, causing a police officer to intervene.
Footage of the couple’s steamy make-out session on a Brazilian beach went viral after it was posted online.
It showed a bikini-clad woman sitting on top of a heavy-set man at Praia Grande in São Paulo.
The couple was unaware as they smooched underneath an umbrella when an agent assigned to the São Paulo Military Police interrupted them.
He asked them to stop and the woman obliged by hopping off her partner’s lap.
She subsequently sat on another chair as the police left the scene.
The practice of obscene acts in public spaces is prohibited under Article 233 of the Brazilian Penal Code.
Criminal offenders can be punished with a fine or a jail sentence ranging from three months to one year.
