Hon. Alex Mascot Ikwechegh, a House of Representatives member for the Aba North and South Federal Constituency, was captured in a troubling video slapping a Bolt driver three times over a dispute related to a package delivery.
In the viral clip, Ikwechegh is heard boasting that he could make the driver “disappear” from Nigeria without any repercussions, while the driver stands silently observing the unsettling scene unfold.
Despite the escalation, Ikwechegh insisted, citing his political influence, that the driver should hand over the package directly to him.
“I can make the rat disappear from Nigeria, and nothing will happen. Look at this monkey. Do you know who the fuck I am? How dare you? I have slapped you twice, and I will slap you three times. I’m not going to give this boy one Naira of my money. I’ll slap you and lock you in my generator House,” Mascot said in the video.
Reacting, Nigerians called on the relevant authorities to intervene in the situation and ensure justice is served.
