A video of a Nigerian lady weeping over the demolition of her family property has made the rounds on social media. In the video, the lady said her family procured the property in Eti-Osa local government in Lagos state in February and two months after, the state government demolished it.
The state government has in recent times carried out demolition of properties said to be built on water channels in the state.
In the trending video, the lady who couldn’t control her tears said:
‘’We bought that property in February and we have only been there for two months, for two months”
Speaking further she said:
‘’All the work, all the sleepless night, everything. If you are in Lagos, you will know how much properties in Eti-Osa cost. You know how much properties in Eti-Osa cost. Each time my son sees me crying, he would always say Mummy you have been crying. How do I explain to my son? What do I tell my children? This is very painful. I don’t wish anybody a thing like this. I don’t wish anybody to work so hard, so tireless and face something like this. I don’t”
