Unknown gunmen abduct trader on 25th December in Ihiala, family cries out

The family of Obijieze of Umunsofor Obodoawo Ihiala in Anambra State has raised alarm over the kidnap of their borther Mr. Casmir Chidubem Obijieze who was abducted on the 25th of December, 2023 at his residence by unknown gunmen.

Mr Casmir is a trader and a commercial motor cyclist does not engage in illegal activities.

According to his elder brother, Chief Collins Obijieze who spoke on behalf of the family, five Hilux vehicles drove into the village on that fateful day with a team of armed men and whisked his brother away.

Casmir has not been seen since 25th December, 2023. The family have made efforts to visit all the major police station in Anambra State including SARS Awkuzu. The search for his brother’s whereabouts have proved futile.

He said:

“Mr Casmir Obijieze is fair in complexion. He was bundled out from his house in Obodoawo community, Ihiala in Ihiala local government area of Anambra state on early morning of 25th December 2023 by unknown armed men with about 5 hilux van and since then he was no were to be found. We the family members went to almost all the police stations in Anambra state but could find him. He was born in the year 1977 and is married with children.”

Chief Obijieze is appealing to the government of Anambra State, the Commissioner of Police and all relevant authorities to intervene and unravel the mystery behind Casmir’s whereabouts.
