(Videos) Peter Obi, Labour Party shut down Owerri for campaign, despite sit-at-home order

The presidential campaign train of the Labour Party arrived Owerri, the Imo State capital on Tuesday with funfair.

There were speculations of sit-at-home order by the Independent People of Biafra (IPOB) for five days but the order did not affect the turnout for the campaign.

As early as 7 am, the streets of Owerri where filled up with excited residents and supporters of Peter Obi who came out to catch a glimpse of him.

On arrival at the Sam Mbakwe Airport, Peter Obi and his team were warmly received by Imo State governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma.

The campaign team thereafter drove to Owerri town where Peter Obi walked from Imo State University junction down to Kanu Nwankwo Sports Center, venue of the event amidst cheers from his supporters.
