It was indeed a great outing for the dynamic trio; the PDP Candidates for the Ajeromi Ifelodun Federal Constituency in the forthcoming general elections in 2023 at both National and State assemblies as the St. Mary’s Catholic Church Ajegunle hosted their prestigious Youth Harvest.
With the PDP candidate for House of Representatives in the person of Hon. Francis Barthlomew Chima aka OMOBARCA as Chairman of the Occasion while Hon. Odumosu Lukmon and Hon. Olajide Taofeeq Kuye as special guests of honor. Their presence at the occasion was welcomed with wild jubilation indicating a strong sign of acceptance. The occasion which had the presence of the parish priest Rev. Fr. Okafor Jonathan, other visiting priests and a Rev. Sister also had The CMO chairman, The CWO President and other statutory bodies including the Catholic Youth Organisation (CYON ) and the Young Christian Workers (YCW) in attendance.
The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the new church building prototype by the parish priest Rev. Fr. Jonathan Okafor accompanied by the Chairman of the occasion, Hon. Francis Barthlomew Chima aka OMOBARCA the special guest of honours and their entourage. In his speech Hon. Francis Barthlomew Chima aka OMOBARCA thanked the congregation for finding him worthy to serve as the chairman of the occasion and encouraged all to always put God first in whatever they do in life as that is the secret of true success. Speaking further he urged the church to continue her good works in helping better the society.
While appreciating the Church’s gesture OmoBarca accepted and broke a kolanut with the sum of #200, 000, Opened the dish with another #200,000 and supported the New Church building with the sum of #2,000,000.00 making a total donation of #2,400,000.00 ( Two Million, Four Hundred Thousand Naira Only).
It is worthy of note that our State House of Assembly Candidates; Hon. Odumosu Lukmon and Hon. Taofeeq Olajide Kuye also donated generously to the church building project.
The train did not end here for Hon. Francis Barthlomew Chima aka OMOBARCA as he and his entourage proceeded to the Mile 2 signal barracks where the Holy Trinity Chaplaincy was also celebrating an award and dinner night for the youths; He was a special guest of honour at this wonderful youth event. His presence was also met with great jubilation.
In his short speech, he urged the youths to always be the light anywhere they find themselves. He reassured the Youth that it is time for all to come out and determine the future that we desire.
Hon. Francis Barthlomew Chima aka OMOBARCA supported the event and other activities with a whooping sum of #1,000,000.00 (One Million Naira Only) while encouraging them to keep up with the good work.
In all, it was a jolly good Sunday for the Olorire family as all visits started well and ended in praise.
