85‑year‑old Bayelsa woman buried in Coca‑Cola‑shaped casket

A woman, Late Madam Afuwari Ego, popularly known as Ego Na Money, was laid to rest in a Coca-Cola bottle-shaped casket in Emeyal 1 community, Ogbia Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.

The funeral took place on Saturday, November 22, 2025.

Photographer Ogbara Walson Henry, who captured images of the unusual casket, said it drew wide attention during the ceremony, attracting both residents and guests. Many described it as a creative and memorable tribute to the late woman.

According to him, family members revealed that Madam Ego, who died at the age of 85, was a huge fan of Coca-Cola, which inspired the unique casket design, turning her final send-off into a personal and symbolic celebration of her life.
