The Department of State Services (DSS) has released an official statement regarding the shooting of a tailor and sales girl in Garki market Abuja on Thursday evening.
According to reports, a lady had invited some DSS personnels to “deal with” her tailor, who failed to deliver her clothes as agreed.
The DSS arrived at the scene and shot the tailor. A salesgirl working in another shop was also hit in the nose by a stray bullet.
Angered by the actions of the DSS personnel, people in Garki market attempted to block them from leaving the market but the personnels quickly took to their heels.
In an official statement on the X handle of DSS signed by Dr Peter Afunanya, Public Relations Officer of DSS, the incident is being investigated to bring the culprits to book.
