The Presiding Bishop of Maranatha Ministries Worldwide, Bishop Samuel Olumakinde Alawode has called on Nigerians to only vote for candidates whose character they will love their children to emulate.
Alawode disclosed this during a New Year sermon to teach his congregation on the need to vote for only credible leaders and take elections very serious in 2023.
He said;
“It is the society the reproduce the leaders. That man you want to vote for, may your children have his character in Jesus name. May they act like him, behave like him. Go and think. If you don’t want a leader, that will be the picture of your own children, why will you want to vote for such a person? I pray again, whoever you vote for, may all their destiny good or bad come upon your children. I said this because I want you to take the election serious. Don’t put your vote on anybody your heart cannot tell you this is the picture of our future. If you do that, you are bringing a curse upon your children!”
