The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has officially visited families and the community of the 43 rice farmers who were brutally murdered by the Boko haram sect last Saturday in Zabarmari community located in Jere LGA of Borno State.
The delegation had a brief meeting with the governor of Borno State, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum before proceeding to deliver food items to relatives and families of the dead farmers.
Pictures of the visit was posted on twitter but did not go down well with twitter users who lashed out at the federal government for failure to secure the lives and properties of Nigerians.
Below are some of the tweets:
“We need maximum security not delegation with food items, value pple lives by ensuring their security is guaranteed.”
“All your delegations don’t know road more than the North always……..your empowerment is to enrich your personal pocket and share little in the North. Allah will judge you…. “
“Life goes on after giving them 10 days meal..#SeNaLikeThisWeGoDey“
“Something like this can only happen wen ppl dies.. ordinary days you can never see this kind of move.”
