Ojukwu University closed for academic activities – VC

The Vice Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Anambra State, Professor Greg Nwakoby has reacted to stories making rounds about final year medical students of COOU resuming for exams despite coronavirus inter state lockdown.

The erudite professor of Law described the information as false and lacking in substance.

“Not true. It is the act of enemies. The university is still closed for academic work.” He replied in a WhatsApp message.

It will be recalled that popular investigative journalist, Fisayo Soyombo had tweeted about the resumption with a document to back up his claims.

“For whatever reason, authorities of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (formerly Anambra State University) are trying to force final-year students of the College of Medicine, Faculty of Clinical Medicine, to secretly resume school. The attached circular bears the details.” Fisayo tweeted.
