The food inflation has resulted to yams being sold in slices to Nigerians who cannot afford to buy a tuber.

A Twitter user posted the picture below to express shock at what she encountered in the market and how Nigeria’s economy is sinking daily into poverty.

According to @a_vanita, 4 slices of yam are now being sold in the market for N200 to those who don’t have enough money.
