The penalties will involve fines that increase each week after the deadline.

This information was disclosed in a circular released on June 18, signed by the registrar, Mr. Victor I. Modebelu.

According to the circular, any student who exceeds the deadline by one week will incur an additional fee of N20,000. Those who exceed the deadline by two weeks will pay N30,000, while a penalty of N40,000 will be applied for three weeks beyond the deadline.

Furthermore, delays beyond three weeks will result in an “incremental increase” in the penalties.

This announcement has sparked outrage on social media following its release on Unizik’s online platform.
