A fatal accident occured this afternoon along Afikpo road near Abakilike, Ebonyi State capital.

An eye witness reports that a Peace Mass Transit bus travelling from portharcout to Abakalike Ebonyi State with identification number 1459 and plate number Enugu UWN 109 ZT was involved in a head on collision with a truck.

Three passengers were confirmed dead on the spot while others sustained various degree of injuries.

A baby who was among the commuters came of the mangled bus without a scratch.
