Participants included teachers from elementary and secondary schools in Mbano and attracted notable speakers from America and Nigeria who addressed many subjects designed to help teachers improve their teaching.

The workshop participants appreciated Prof. Ogechi E. Anyanwu, the founder of PACAF, for organizing the first teachers’ workshop.

They noted the importance of regular education workshops, instructional materials, suitable structures, sponsorship, and regular payment of salaries for educational growth in Nigeria.

The workshop participants, therefore, called on the government to organize regular educational workshops and seminars for teachers and provide instructional materials like electronics, technology and media devices, study guides, calculators, flashcards, and projectors to improve learning outcomes.

It also called on them to invest in renovating or replacing dilapidated school structures to create a better learning environment. Furthermore, they stressed the need for regular payment of teachers’ salaries and other incentives, such as performance-related promotions and funding for professional development.

Finally, they encouraged the government and education stakeholders to offer scholarships and grants to needy students to promote inclusive education and support healthy academic and extracurricular competitions among the students in the locality.
